The struggle to balance a demanding career with personal life, family responsibilities, and self-care can often feel overwhelming. My approach is rooted in real-world experiences, both my own and the leaders I’ve coached, guiding you through these challenges towards a path of sustainable wellness and leadership efficacy.

My Journey…

In 2016, I took on a significant leadership role within the Government of Canada which led to my first burnout experience. At that time, I felt victimized by the workplace and was not ready to see that I was, in fact, the main character in my burnout. Yes, work-life was hard and balancing a young family was not easy, however, I had not learned the skills or found the tools that not only helped me to recover and grow, but that I now employ with my clients.

During the pandemic, now in an executive role in public health, I found myself working 16–18-hour days for weeks on end. That led to my second burnout experience where my body began to show physical signs of distress.

After some time off and deep reflection, I realized that not only could I no longer do what I was doing (as I knew that my first heart attack was looming if things didn’t change), but I began to connect the dots on why I was struggling.

It came down to a lack of alignment between what I was doing and what my soul craved, a lack of boundaries, and an understanding that much of what I had been doing – or not doing – was a reflection of the lack of healthy responses and neural pathways that existed in my body at that time.

I started to see the links between my own trauma story and the challenges I had as a leader over the decades of my career.

With that, I decided to embark on a healing journey so that I could re-establish some form of balance in my life, reconnect with my inner drive and start to feel whole – in ways I may never have felt previously.

After significant trips to the therapist after my first burnout, I found that I hit a ceiling to my healing and started to look for other methods of growth and support in my second burnout experience to help me continue to make the shifts I needed.

That is when I found coaching, which helped me plan my exit strategy and find alignment in what I truly wanted in my life and that’s when I also found HeartBreath™.

HeartBreathTM was a game-changer for me.

Reconnecting to my mind and body through breath helped me to go deep fast and provided me with a path to profound healing. This got me out of my head and into my body in a way where I finally began to feel the release of my imposter, my inner critics, and the stress that I held in my body for literally decades.

I knew at that moment that I HAD to share this with other leaders to help them feel relief from the years of stress they had experienced so that they could feel the relief that I was feeling!

Drawing on my background as a Registered Nurse (retired) with extensive experience in public health and emergency management leadership, I apply a comprehensive understanding of human health within the context of high-pressure environments.

This allows me to offer unique, effective solutions that support not only the physical well-being of leaders but also foster emotional resilience and sustained personal growth and expansion.

By combining health dimensions with executive coaching techniques I’ve mastered through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) training, I help leaders turn their challenges into powerful sources of strength. My strategies are customized to meet the unique needs of each individual or organization, ensuring a deeply personal and transformative journey to wellness.

In our coaching sessions, you’ll experience a range of methods, including ICF-approved techniques, mindfulness practices, HeartBreath™ sessions, and personalized stress management strategies.

A Closer Look At My Life

When I’m not helping leaders thrive in their personal lives, here’s what I’m usually busy with…

  • I love to travel with my hubby of over 20+ years and my 3 kids – one of our favorite trips was a trip to California and Disneyland in the summer of 2022 where I celebrated my 50th birthday!
  • As a proud D23 member, I’m part of a community where Disney fans gather to celebrate the magic! Being a Disney fan for several decades, I’ve had the joy of visiting the parks on multiple occasions, each time feeling that same spark of wonder and excitement.
  • Being an extrovert means there’s nothing more energizing than connecting with new people! One of the most rewarding parts of being a coach has been watching my network and community of colleagues, clients, and friends grow along the way.
  • One of my side hobbies is travel vlogging, and my favorite resort so far, that I have traveled to is the Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet, BC, where the rooms overlook the ocean, and the views are breathtaking!
